The first time I stayed at a bed & breakfast was when my wife and I went on our first anniversary vacation weekend. We knew we wanted to look away, we just wasn’t sure where or anything you wanted to do.
A colleague of hers showed her a book of bed & breakfasts’ around the United States. Since then my niece and I to be able to to two other bed & breakfasts, one in Williamsburg, VA and another in upstate Nyc near Seneca Bay. Although the concept each and every bed & breakfast were similar, these folks were different in several different ways. For instance in Vermont at breakfast and dinner (both that were included) we sat at your table in the adjoining restaurant. In NY and VA we ate a massive table with each of the other guests. In VA the owners took care of everything, well them and their youths. In NY and VT the owners ran the place but also had help to get rooms ready and keep the place clean. In VT we had our own outside entrance to our own room as should the room was our own house. In NY and VA you would your own bedroom in the same house with the other guests.
Regardless of whichever style you choose, if you never ever stayed at a bed & breakfast you should. Each one was wonderful and you really felt familiar were part for the owner’s family while you stayed there.
I would recommend first pick a locale where you know you would really love to stay. Would you like the reams? How about the sun or a tropical island? Once fully grasp what you wish to do, take a look up the bed & breakfasts within areas that you have targeted and start reading up in it. Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other book stores have a diverse range of books you can try without purchasing to obtain this information. Let me tell you that they a bit pricier then a normal hotel room (some of them anyway). However verify what sort of amenities you get for your selling price tag.
